Introduction to the Current Position module

All users who are entering or editing Fact Find data for their Clients.

ℹ️ What is the Current Position

The Current Position module incorporates all Fact Finding information pertaining to your client. Upon adding your client, you will be automatically taken to the Current Position module.

The Current Position includes 5 sub-menus:

• Fact Find* - enables you to edit and view all Facts relating to your Clients current situation, these Facts will be the basis for your 'Current Position' modelling in Strategy Builder. 
• Risk Profile* - The Clients Risk Profiles are able to be viewed and edited on the Risk Profile tab. Note; if your licensee has configured a Custom Risk Profile Questionnaire, the responses to the questionnaire will also show on the Risk Profile tab. 
• Goals* - allows you to create Goals or view the Goals created by your client.
• Insurance Needs - iff has an in-built Insurance Needs calculator that users can adopt if they wish. 
• Client Journey - The Client Journey tab will allow you to view any qualitative information that the client entered in their Client Journey e.g. Motivators etc. 

* Data within this sub-menu must be complete and locked prior to accessing Strategy Builder.

⚠️What does Lock Fact Find do 

Once you have completed the required data * in the Current Position, it is mandatory that the Fact Find is locked. This will lock your Fact Find data and create a Fact Find 'version' that can be referred to at a later date. 
 

❓How do I lock & unlock my Fact Find

Locking the Fact Find is completed by selecting 'Lock Fact Find' which is available when on any page within the Current Position. There is mandatory data that is required to be populated prior to locking a Fact Find, if your data set is not complete, you will receive a warning of what is missing. 

Once locked, if you need to make changes to the Fact Find you can select Edit Fact Find.  Alternatively, you can create a new version by unlocking the Fact Find which can be completed from either the Current Position or Advice by selecting Finalise & Create New. When creating a new version of the Fact Find you have two choices:

• No scenarios provides you with an unlocked Fact Find and does not copy across any scenarios from Strategy Builder
• All scenarios provides with an unlocked Fact Find but preserves your Strategies from Strategy Builder so next time you lock your Fact Find, your advice will still be available in Strategy Builder. 

❓Why do I need to lock my Fact Find

We do this for a number of reasons: 

1. Site Performance - as we utilise a comprehensive modelling engine that runs millions of calculations, you need to lock down the data prior to this calculation occurring. 
2. Version Control - locking a Fact Find creates a Fact Find Version that can be viewed through the ellipsis (3 dots) top right of screen. You will be able to view old versions (including the advice provided), rename, delete and restore the version if required. 
3. Review Module (coming soon) - we are building a review module that will allow you to produce strategic reviews, comparing your clients current position to previous Fact Find Versions.
